What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

If you fill in our contact form, the information that you provided will viewed by one of our therapists and we shall contact you via the method that you selected. If we do not hear back from you in 7 working days then your information will be deleted in order to keep your information safe. If we do hear back from you and an appointment is then made, the information provided will be transferred to our Patient Notes file. This is a paper file. Once this has been completed we will delete your information from our records in order to keep your information safe. Our Patient Notes file will be kept until treatment has been completed. This information will then be destroyed.

We require certain information about clients in order to ascertain suitability for hypnotherapy and to gain an overview of the individual. This will include a name, date of birth, doctors details, contact details and details of any current medication.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

Your data is not shared with anyone, nor is it shared between therapists. Once a therapist has got in contact with you, they will be the only person that has access to your data (unless you specify that you would like to see a different therapist).

How long we retain your data

If you fill in our contact form, your data will be held onto for 7 days after one of our therapists replies to your enquiry. If a response has not been received after 7 days then your data will be deleted. If an appointment is made then this data will be transferred to your Patient Notes file (a paper file) and then deleted from our submissions entry. Your data will be held on to for 6 months after treatment has finished unless specified that you would like it destroyed before.

What rights you have over your data

You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

Our therapists check contact form submissions daily and reply to all enquiries within 24 hours. If a reply has not been received within 7 days then your data is deleted from our submissions.
