Frequently Asked Questions
Do I lose control whilst under hypnosis?
When you get lost in a book or film, or when you are driving a car do you lose control? Hypnosis is very much like these states. It is focused attention. You have the power to resist if you wish and you have the power to control how deep you go into hypnosis. You can emerge from hypnosis at any point you wish without any issues or side effects. At no point during a hypnotherapy session are you not in control of yourself.
As Hypnotherapists, our therapy revolves around getting you into a relaxed state of consciousness where we can offer the unconscious mind positive suggestions. The unconscious mind will only take in suggestions that we have agreed upon beforehand. Any suggestions that are not in line with your goal or morals will not be accepted by the unconscious part of your mind. Hypnosis is completely safe and side effect free.

Others go quite deep and may not remember much about the actual hypnosis. Neither is right or wrong, there is only what is right for you. Quite often, clients will come out of hypnosis feeling extremely relaxed as they haven’t allowed themselves to relax in quite this way in a long time.
Does hypnotherapy work for everyone?
The short answer is no. There is not therapy in the world that works 100% for everyone, this is why there are so many different types of therapy. It is estimated that around 90% of the UK population will respond to hypnosis and allow themselves to go into the trance state. For some clients in may be more effective than others but our success rate is high.
How many sessions will I need?
